Deputy Commissioner, Nagaon has issued a notification for recruitment of candidates to the post of Jr.Assistants and Stenographer in Grade-III. The aforesaid job positions are available for appointment at the amalgamated office of the Deputy Commissioner, Nagaon. Age Limit: The prescribed age limit for the above job positions is 18-38 years as on 1st January 2013. Age relaxation will be admissible as per Govt. rules.

Educational Qualifications: The educational qualification for the post of Junior Assistant (Gr-III) is minimum HSSLC examination passed with skill of typewriting in both English & Assamese. Skill in usage of computer typing is a must.

For the post of Stenographer, the minimum qualification is HSSLC passed along with Stenography Certificate examination passed from Govt. ITI/Govt. recognized institution/Govt. recognized Polytechnic and Gr-III Stenography Certificate exam passed from Secretariat Administration Establishment Department (SAED) of Govt. of Assam and passed with speed of 80wpm in English Stenography. They must be having the skill in Computer typing in English/Assamese.

Fee Details: In case of all candidates other than those belonging to SC/ST category, an examination fee amounting to Rs.5/- drawn by the treasury challan and deposited under the Head of A/C "0070-OAS(Examination Fees etc) shall be appended with the filled in application. For the candidates belonging to the SC/ST candidates, the fee prescribed is Rs.2.50 only.

Selection Procedure: Candidates for the post of Junior Assistant will have to appear in a written test whose date and time will be communicated in due course of time. The successful candidates in written test as per norms fixed by Selection Committee will be called for interview, type/computer tests.
