TET Assam 2013-14 is announced for the Higher Secondary level and the next Teachers Eligibility Test(TET) in Assam is scheduled to be held on 19th November 2013. It is known that the teacher’s vacancy in the state across all the Govt. schools would be filled by March 2014. This upcoming TET in Assam will be meant for regular appointment of teachers and will be conducted towards the year-end.

There are more than 800 (approximately 874) number of teachers posts lying vacant in the arts, science & commerce streams of the higher secondary schools of the state. All these posts are to be filled up through the next TET in Assam.

TET Assam 2013-14 Syllabus will be announced on 01-09-2013 and interested applicants will be able to download the syllabus from the official websites.

As you might be aware that the result of the Special TET for Siksha Mitras for LP and UP category was announced last week and nearly 3,835 candidates out of 6,542 candidates in the Lower Primary category and around 1,374 candidates out of 1,745 candidates in Upper Primary were able qualify for appointment in the LP and ME schools respectively. Those who have failed to pass in the exam will be given another chance to appear on 18-11-2013. The qualified candidates will be appointed at the EGS centres and the recruitment process will start from October onward and the same will be announced officially in the due course.

There will be no TET Exam for ME schools in Assam this time whereas online registration for recruitment of teachers of TET qualified candidates in the Upper Primary category is supposed to begin from 15th October 2013.
