NSSO (FOD) Recruitment 2013 in Dibrugarh for 19 Field Investigator Vacancies

NSSO (FOD), Regional Office, Dibrugarh has invited application for 19 vacancies of contractual post of Field Investigators. Read this article to know details.

The Regional Office of National Sample Survey Office (Field Operation Division) at Dibrugarh has advertised for recruitment of candidates to around 19 tentative vacancies on contractual basis and has invited applications from all the intending eligible candidates. As per the above notification issued for this NSSO Recruitment 2013 in Assam, the period of engagement will be for a maximum period of 9 months 15 days and the selected candidates will be placed in Regional Office, Dibrugarh or its Sub-Regional Offices, Jorhat/Tezpur of Field Operations Division of National Sample Survey Office.

The job position offered is Field Investigator who will have to conduct field surveys of NSSO in Rural and Urban areas. The regular duty of the selected candidates will involve extensive touring within the assigned geographical region.

The selected candidates on appointment will be able to draw a fixed consolidated remuneration of Rs.15,000/- only per month along with TA/DA while on tours. The travel allowance admissible for the Field Investigators while on tour is Sleeper Class fare by Ordinary/Express train or bus fare for Ordinary/Express bus or the actual fare, whichever is less. The rate of DA admissible is Rs.150/- for Ordinary and Rs.350/- for stay in Hotel as stated in the advertisement published.

NSSO Field Investigator Job - Eligibility Criteria

The essential qualification for Field Investigator Recruitment in NSSO Dibrugarh is to be a graduate from a recognized university and having Economics, Statistics or Mathematics as one of the subjects at the degree level. In addition, proficiency in English and the local language and knowledge of computer application like Microsoft Office package etc. is required for the above recruitment. They will also have to meet the age limit criteria which is prescribed as 21-30 years as on 1st April 2013. Relaxation of age may however be allowed for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC or candidates with disability as per Government of India instructions. Candidates having experience in field survey and data collection will also be able to avail relaxation of upper age limit for the number of years served in it.

There are also some desirable requirements prescribed as part of the eligibility criteria. These includes experience in conducting field survey and field data collection work in any Government Organizations. The candidates having such a qualification will be given preference at the time of assessing the suitability for the above job subject to fulfillment of all other prescribed criteria.
