LIC Recruitment 2013 is recently announced for around 5201 number of posts of Apprentice Development Officers and the job details including the zone-wise vacancy information is published through its official website. As we have already said that Assam is included within the LIC East Zone, it must be noted that there are some other divisions in that zone as well belonging to West Bengal. The vacancies listed above are all approximate figures and it is likely to increase or decrease at the time of final selection. Candidates selected for appointment will have to work in both urban/rural areas, as the case may be. The selected candidates have to undergo theoretical and field sales training and will be placed as ADO having a fixed monthly remuneration of Rs.19,165/- per month. After successful training, the candidate will be absorbed as Probationary Development Officer and will be appointed at the specified headquarters of the area and will be paid Basic Pay amounting to Rs.11,535/- in the scale of Rs.11,535-28,865/- and other allowances admissible as per rules. The total emoluments of a Probationary Development Officer will be approximately Rs.22,065/- per month.

LIC ADO Recruitment 2013 Eligibility Criteria

The essential educational qualification which has been prescribed for this recruitment of Apprentice Development Officers in LIC India is to hold a Bachelor Degree from a recognized university of India. Candidates having MBA (Marketing) or PG Diploma in Marketing will be preferred. In addition, there is an age limit criteria as well which is 21 years as the minimum and 30 completed years as the maximum allowed age as on 1st November 2012. However, relaxation of upper age limit is allowed for certain categories and the details in this regard can be seen from the official notification as available for the respective zones.

LIC has also prescribed some requirements in terms of the working experience depending on the category of the applicant and place of recruitment i.e. either rural/urban. In this regard, applicants who are LIC employees must have atleast 3 years of experience in Class III post. LIC Agents for recruitment in urban areas must have served for atleast 5 years and their net First Years Premium Income should not be less than Rs.5 lacs during the immediately preceding 5 agency years and a net First Year Premium Income of not less than Rs.1,00,000/- on 50 lives in each of any three of these agency years (also applicable for rural areas). Whereas for rural areas, the LIC Agents must have served atleast 4 years.

The online application form is available under the Careers tab of the official LIC website followed by the relevant link available there. Candidates must fillup the form with correct details and spelt accurately as available in the certificates. Digital image of photograph and signature will be required to complete the LIC Recruitment Online Registration and the detailed specifications are mentioned in Annexure I of the job notification. The applicants will receive a Registration Number & Password on successful submission or while saving the form for completing later.

On successful submission of the application form, the candidate will be able to download and print the system generated LIC Recruitment Challan which will be required to deposit the non-refundable application fee. This fee will have to be paid by all applicants other than those belonging to the SC/ST category from the 2nd working day after registration and the amount prescribed is Rs.500/- only. This fee can be deposited at any branch of State Bank of India by means of cash using the LIC ADO Recruitment 2013 Challan form. LIC Recruitment 2013 Selection Procedure & Exam Pattern

LIC will conduct an Online Test and an Interview as part of selection process. The online test will be of objective type having MCQ type questions on the subjects a) Test of Reasoning and Numerical Ability, b)General Knowledge, Current Affairs & English Language with Special emphasis on Grammar and Vocabulary.

The online test will be held on the 2nd and 3rd February 2013 in the specified examination centres as listed in the official notification. Medical examination will be conducted for the selected candidates. There will be provisions for pre-exam training for candidates belonging to SC/ST category.
