There are a couple of vacancies in the Office of Director General of Vigilance & Anti-corruption, Assam for LDA cum Typist and Stenographer Grade III.

Recruitment in Assam for the post of LDA cum Typist and Stenographer Grade III is announced by the Superintendent of Police, Vigilance & Anti-Corruption, Assam. As per the advertisement notification issued in this regard, there is one temporary post of Lower Division Assistant cum Typist and 1 (one) Stenographer Gr-III post both in Unreserved category and selected candidates on appointment will be engaged in the office of Director General of Vigilance & Anti-corruption, Assam

The age limit criteria set for the above recruitment is minimum 18 years and to a maximum of 38 years as on the 1st January 2013. Candidates belonging to the SC and ST(P) category may avail five years relaxation in the upper age limit.

In addition to the above age criteria, any Indian Citizen fulfilling the minimum educational qualifications as prescribed in the advertisement will be able to apply. As per this requirement, candidates must be atleast Higher Secondary passed from any recognized University/Board and must also hold Diploma of Typewriting in both Assamese and English language with typing speed of 30 words per minute and 40 words per minute respectively. In addition to this, computer knowledge is also essential for being eligible to apply.

Candidates applying for the Stenographer Grade III post must hold a Diploma in Stenography from Govt. ITI and should have a shorthand speed of 80wpm.

A written test will be conducted along with Interview as part of selection process and all eligible candidates will have to appear in the same, when called for. The service of the candidates selected and appointed through this recruitment will be governed by the "New Defined Contribution Pension Scheme", 2009 issued vide Finance Deptt. OM No. BW.7/2008/Pt/40 dated 06/10/2009.

Job in Assam Vigilance & Anti-Corruption - How to apply?

A candidate must apply in standard form of Assam Gazette Part IX and enclose the necessary documents along with the application. For candidates already in Govt. service has to apply through proper channel with a No Objection Certificate (NOC) being issued from the employer concerned. Any incomplete application including those submitted after the last date will be summarily rejected.

The documents to be submitted along with the application form includes:-

  • 2 copies of recent passport size photograph signed by the candidate and 1 copy to be pasted on the application form in the space provided.
  • 1 self-addressed pre-stamped (Rs.5) envelope of 12x27cm size (approx).
  • Attested photocopies of all marksheet and certificates in support of the educational qualification from HSLC/Matric and HSSLC onwards.
  • Attested copies of the relevant Caste Certificate and Typewriting Diploma certificates in English and Assamese language.
  • Candidates must also submit the attested copies of computer literacy certificate and stenographer passed certificates (if applicable).

The last date of submitting application form of Assam Vigilance & Anti-Corruption Department Recruitment is 31st December 2012. Candidates will be intimated regarding the date and venue of the written examination and interview in the due course and candidates have to attend in the same at their own expenses. It must also be noted that canvassing directly or indirectly will be treated as disqualification and hence applicant must not be involved in such activities.
