The Directorate of Employment & Craftsmen Training in Assam has issued one recruitment notification for the post of Jr Assistants and has accordingly invited application exclusively from candidates who are an Indian citizen to apply for the job in the prescribed format as published in the Part IX of Assam Gazette. There are 7 posts and available in different Employment Exchanges under the Employment & Craftsmen Training, Assam.

In terms of the age criteria, relaxation in upper age limit can be availed upto 5 years by candidates belonging to the SC/ST category. The age limit that is listed above should be attained as on the 1st January 2012 for being eligible to this recruitment. Reservation of posts will be as per the Government rules including Reservation for Women and Physically Handicapped candidates. In addition to this, the candidates must fulfill the essential educational qualification of minimum HSLC passed with Diploma/Certificate in English and Assamese Typewriting with speed of 40 & 30 words per minute respectively. Computer skills with MS Office is also desirable for the above Junior Assistant recruitment in Assam.

How to apply for the Jr Assistant Recruitment?

Candidates may apply to the above recruitment in standard form and submit attested copies of testimonials regarding qualification, age, caste etc along with 3 (three) copies of attested recent passport size photograph and a self addressed envelope with Rs.5/- stamp affixed on it. The applicants must also pay a fee amounting to Rs.50/- (Rs.25/- for SC/ST) by means of IPO drawn in favour of "The Director of Employment & Craftsmen Training, Assam, Rehabari, Guwahati-8" and the same must be enclosed along with the application so as to reach the concerned establishment where vacancy arises on or before 27-12-2012.

Caste certificates issued in favour of the candidates belonging to reserved categories in the proper format countersigned by the respective DC, SDO of the concerned district/Sub Division of which the candidate is a resident should be furnished. Applicants who are already employed should submit their applications through proper channel within stipulated date fixed. A written test will be held on the same day and time in different venues across the state as part of selection process. The test will be held for 100 marks for 2 hours duration on three subject matters including those of English, Mathematics and General Knowledge.

Successful candidates on the basis of merit in the written test will be called for typing/computer test and viva voce as per norms. Date and venue of the written test/interview etc will be communicated to the candidates in the due course. No TA/DA will be admissible for attending this test/interview.
