Introducing: Assam Trends | Latest: Assam HSLC/AHM Exam Results 2015 | Check: Assam Government Holiday List 2015

The Govt. of Assam has recently published the new Holiday List 2013 and all the offices under the State Government will remain closed as per the holidays that are officially declared for the year 2013. As per the information made available from the Office of the General Administration Department, all Government offices and Revenue & Magisterial Courts will remain closed for 31 full days and 2 half days next year which is a bit less in number as compared to this year i.e. 2012. In this regard, if we compare to the holiday list 2012, offices will remain closed for 32 full days and 3 half days. However, since the occasion of Bijoya Dashami and Janmotsav of Srimanta Sankardev falls on the same day i.e. 22nd October 2013, hence one day falls short next year as compared to the current year.

Moreover, it is seen that the occasion of Kati Bihu and Lakshmi Puja will be both observed on the same date i.e. 18th October 2013 and hence the number of half day holiday will also be less than that of year 2012.
