  • What is Teacher Eligibility Test 2012-13 and who can appear?
    TET Examination 2012-13 in Assam will be conducted as per the Assam Secondary Education (Provincialised) Service (Amendment) Rules, 2012 for determining the eligibility of candidates for direct recruitment to the post of Graduate Teachers in Secondary Schools of Assam.

    A set of requirements pertaining to academic qualification and age limit is prescribed which can be seen from the official advertisement.

  • Will TET passed candidates get appointment as Teachers?
    Qualifying in this examination will only make the candidate eligible to apply for any open vacancies of Graduate Teachers to be announced in the due course. Appointment of candidates in such recruitment process will be based on merit and other criteria prescribed for the same. Simply passing this test will not guarantee any job but would rather make them eligible to apply for such relevant jobs if any vacancy exists.

  • How long will the TET Certificate remain valid for recruitment?
    Certificates will be awarded by the Empowered Committee, Government of Assam to successful candidates scoring the prescribed qualifying marks in the exam. This will remain valid for a period of 2 years from its date of issue and can be used for applying to recruitment subject to fulfilment of other existing criteria for services in Government of Assam.

  • I have crossed the upper age limit after passing TET Exam 2012-13. Am I still eligible to apply for Graduate Teacher recruitment?
    Yes, you will be eligible to apply for such recruitment subject to the condition that the validity of TET certificate is not over. Upper Age Limit as prescribed in the advertisement for TET Secondary Education Exam 2012 is applicable for appearing in that particular test only.
