Airport Authority of India (AAI) has recently advertised the recruitment details of 359 vacancies available for two different job positions namely Junior Executive (ATC) and Junior Executive (Electronics). The posts are available as per reservations in different categories and the same also includes backlog. In connection with this, the online registration has started from 28th February 2012 and the interested applicants will have time to apply till 30-March-2012. An overview of the above two job positions are listed below:-
Eligibility Criteria and Necessary Qualification
The eligibility for both the above mentioned posts in terms of educational qualification is defined as a regular and full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology from recognized or deemed university or apex institutes like IIT. For the category of Air Traffic Controller, the degree must be in the disciplines of either Information Technology, Electronics and Telecommunication or else must possess a Post Graduate degree i.e. M.Sc. in the subjects of Electronics, Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science. On the other hand, the category of Junior Executive (Electronics) requires any regular bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology (Electrical/Electronics/Telecommunications) having specialization in Electronics. In terms of percentage or marks in the above degree's mentioned, a minimum of 60% is necessary to be eligible.
Selection Procedure and ExaminationsA written test along with an interview will be conducted by AAI to determine suitable candidates for the above posts. In addition, the candidates applying for the position of Jr. Executive as Air Traffic Controller will also have to undergo a voice test in addition. The selected candidates will then be informed about the various other details like the period of training, bond amount & period with the rest of the Terms and Conditions involved in the appointment process.
AAI Recruitment 2012: How to apply?One can apply for the above Recruitment in Airport Authority of India 2012 via online method only through AAI's official website. No documents will be needed to apply at the first stage and the only requirement is a valid email id and a digital copy of recent photograph as well as the signature of the candidate in compatible JPEG format (Size <1MB) to upload along with the application form. After filling-up the online application form with correct details and submitting it, a unique registration number and password will be generated which must be noted down and stored carefully as it will be needed for all future reference. It is advised to take a printout of the generated registration slip after completing the online application process. The OBC/General category of applicants will need to pay a fee of Rs.420/- (if deposited through DD/PO) or Rs.414.34 (if paid by Credit/Debit card). If you choose to pay online, then you have to note down the payment ID which will be asked while submitting the application. On the other hand, the offline payment through DD/PO requires the applicant to download the system generated Challan which can be deposited at HDFC Bank only.
