Staff Selection Commission Recruitment 2012 is announced for a number of job positions of Junior engineers in multiple disciplines to be held on the month of April this year. It has been informed by publication in employment news that the examination is scheduled to be on 8th April 2012 whereas the last date of applying for the same is 10th February 2012. Accordingly, interested candidates will be able to apply for the Combined All India Open Examination under SSC for the post of Junior Engineers in the disciplines of Mechanical, Civil, Quality Surveying, Electrical and Contract to be engaged in the following departments:-

All candidates who do not belong to the category of SC, ST, PH, Ex-Servicemen or women candidates has to pay a fee of Rs.100 as the application fee. If you are intending to apply offline through postal service, then the fee can be paid by using Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS) that is available in the post offices. For all other applicants who wish to apply online can make payment of the fee using State Bank of India Challan or on-line payment facility. The Staff Selection Commission application form can be obtained from the Annexure-I available in the Information Bulletin available for download in the official site of the department or at the bottom of this article. The mode of selection includes candidates performance in the written examination after which they will be shortlisted for interview. The combined performance in both written test and the interview will then be taken into account for appointment by the commission. The Staff Selection Commission syllabus can be obtained from the advertisement document attached below. There will be two papers where the first paper will be of objective type to be answered in OMR sheets while the second paper will be of conventional type. The Paper I will carry 200 marks whereas the Paper II will include 300 marks which will have to be answered in 2 hours duration for each paper. The personality test or interview will be of 100 marks as has been fixed by the commission.
There are around 34 examination centres against nine regional offices of the commission. The candidates will be able to make preference of these test centres in their application form as would be convenient to them. However, it must be noted that the application should be submitted only to the regional or sub-regional offices where the centre of examination preferred in the application falls.
