Food Corporation of India has issued a notice regarding the FCI Combined Recruitment 2012 to be held for various posts available under multiple categories and different zones within the country. Among these zones, the North East Zone which includes Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Manipur and other states of the northeastern region has vacancies in the Assistant III (General, Accounts, Technical), Assistant Grade II and Hindi Typists category. Apart from NER, there are many posts available in other states of the country which are classified under the respective zones. It can be mentioned here that this recruitment is although conducted by Staff Selection Commission on behalf of Food Corporation of India, but the appointed candidates after selection will not be awarded the status of being a Central Government Civilian Employees.
All the interested candidates can apply for the jobs in FCI by both online and offline modes and the soft copy of the application form can be downloaded from the attachment available at the end of this article. The examination centres available in the Northeast zone are Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Jorhat, Tezpur, Lakhimpur, Goalpara, Silchar, Shillong, Tura, Itanagar, Imphal, Aizwal, Kohima and Agartala. The candidates have to pay a non-refundable fee of Rs.200 through Challans from State Bank of India while applying online or else affix CRF Stamps in case of offline application. The last date is mentioned as 25th November 2011 but for some specific places like Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh etc., the closing date is extended to 2nd December 2011.
The examination for the FCI Assistant Grade – III will be held on 04th and 05th day of February 2012 while the FCI Assistant Grade-II (AG-II) and Typist category written test will be conducted on 22nd January 2012. You are not required to send any supporting documents to prove your eligibility at the time of applying and the same will be asked to be produced for scrutiny while appearing in the CPT/Skill test to be held as mentioned below.
The selection procedure will be based on a written examination to be conducted by Staff Selection Commission and will also include a Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) and a skill test depending on the category of the job position. The written test will have two papers which comprises of Objective Type and Conventional type and both of them would carry 200 marks each. In the objective type paper, the multiple choice questions would be based on OMR Answer Sheets and would also carry negative points amounting to 0.25 marks for wrong answers in the said test.
