OIL Awards & OIL Merit Scholarship 2011 was recently announced in Assam by the Corporate Communication and Public Relations department of Oil India Limited Duliajan and as such they have invited application from passed out non-OIL employee children students having the requisite eligibility to avail the opportunity. It is applicable for those candidates who have qualified in Class X and XII Board exams that was held under Secondary Board of Education Assam (SEBA), Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC), Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and Indian Council of Secondary Education (ICSE) in the year 2011. As the name already suggest, this scholarship will be given away to eligible applicants or students strictly on the basis of merit only.
This is to mention here that the OIL Awards are applicable for those students who have secured ranks in the examinations as mentioned above for the year 2011. In addition, they must have appeared in the said examinations from any schools and colleges that are located within the operation area of OIL India Limited in Dibrugarh, Tinsukia, Part of Sivasagar (Moran and Amguri), Lakhimpur and Dhemaji Districts of Assam. They will need to furnish xerox copies of the SEBA / AHSEC circular declaring their rank which must be duly attested by the school or college authority so as to make themselves eligible.
On the other hand, the OIL Scholarship 2011 will be given to students who are studying in schools and colleges in an around the Company's operational areas only. As per the scheme, the number of scholarships to be awarded will depend upon the availability and certain criteria such as cut-off marks etc.

All applicants must submit the following list of documents:-
- Attested copies of relevant marksheet
- Attested copy of Pass Certificate
- Recent Passport Size self-attested photograph
- Caste certificates of SC/ST Applicants
- Medical certificates attested by Govt. Medical Officer and forwarded by Head of the School/College for Physically Challenged (PC) applicants.
The last date for submission of completed application is 30th day of September 2011. Applicants must send duly filled up applications along with all relevant documents to Head - PR & CC, Oil India Ltd., Duliajan - 786602, Assam on or before the last date as mentioned above. The higher secondary students must mention the stream of study in the application form to be considered eligible. The categorization of all concerned schools as Rural or Urban will be decided as per the rules and classification of the Government. It must be noted here that students belonging only from the operational areas of OIL will be considered for the scholarship.
