Assam Government job is currently available in the state in many departments and one of these vacancies includes that of the post of Lecturer which is being offered by the Office of Commissioner & Secy., Health & FW Department in Assam. The recruitment will be conducted through a Walk-in-interview which implies that one need not apply formally and can directly appear before the selection committee on the interview date by fulfilling certain formalities and requirements as set by the authority for the job positions available. Therefore, the Government of Assam, Health & FW (B) Department invites applications for recruitment to the post of lecturer in three of the Homeopathic Medical Colleges in Assam and to appear in a walk in interview which is to be held for all the intending candidates with all the requisite qualifications for the above mentioned posts under Regulations 39(f) of APSC. There are around 32 vacant posts that are currently available and are based on different reservations that are defined in the employment notice which was issued in this regard by Health & FW Dept.


The reservation is based on a specific order such as 12 unreserved, 9 for OBC, 4 Scheduled Caste and 2 Scheduled Tribes posts including 30% for woman candidates and 3% for candidates having Physical disabilities as per the Act & Rules. The scale of pay according to the old pay scheme is Rs.4300 - Rs.11,245 per month along with all other allowances as admissible for the post.

The educational qualification necessary for the post of Lecturer in the three Homeopathic Medical colleges of Assam is to have a P.G. qualifications in Homeopathy or a degree in Homeopathy with professional experience of atleast 4 years. It should be noted here that the qualifications shall be the one which is included in the Second Schedule of of Homeopathy Central Council Act, 1973.

The walk-in-interview will be held in the Office of the Commissioner & Secy., Health & FW Department, Block-D, Assam Secretariat, Dispur, Guwahati 781006 on 22nd July 2011 from 11:00 am onwards. The candidates are expected to report the venue by 10:30am for purpose of registrations and have to produce various particulars and documents such as up-to-date Bio-data with attested copies of the certificates and marksheets from HSLC onwards, certificate of registration under the State Homeopathic Board along with two recent passport size photographs and an application in standard form at the time of interview. The original copies of such documents must also be carried along by the candidate to the interview venue for the purpose of verifications.
