Pre-matric and Post-matric scholarships are announced in Assam for the meritorious students belonging to Below Poverty Line (BPL) families as part of the 'Mukhya Mantri Assam Bikash Yojna'. These scholarships in Assam can be availed by the candidates who have studied within the academic session of 2011-2012 in Classes IX-X as well as Class XI-XII respectively. It will be granted to a limited number of students under the above mentioned scheme as per the district target. An announcement of this was earlier made available through various online and offline sources in the last week. This post is hereby intended to inform those people who have missed those important announcements that were made regarding this merit scholarship 2011 in Assam which must be applied for before the closing date which is set to be 15th day of June 2011.


The application can be made by all those students belonging to the Below Poverty Line families in Assam who have undergone their study in Classes 9 & 10 and also 11th & 12th Standards from any of the Governmental/Provincialised schools or some other recognized school during the session 2011-12 and accordingly the same can be done through the Headmasters or Principal to the concerning Inspector of Schools before the last date as mentioned once above.

It is to be noted here that only a limited number of candidates will be awarded the scholarship by the Government of Assam under the 'Mukhya Mantri Assam Bikash Yojna' scheme and accordingly the Inspector of Schools will verify and determine the selected list of candidates as per the district targets available.
