Admission is open for the Full Time 5 Years Integrated B.A. LL.B. (Honours) course in J.B.Law College of Assam and accordingly an admission notice is issued in this regard from the office of the Principal of the said college. J.B.Law College, Guwahati is the leading Law College of North Eastern part of India catering legal education to the bonafide students since 1969. The college is permitted as well as affiliated by the Gauhati University of Assam and is also duly recognized by the Bar Council of India (BCI). Now as the Higher Secondary results 2011 has been declared, most of the students are looking for suitable and the best career option which they can pursue in the graduation level after successfully clearing the 10+2 exams. Seeking admission to integrated law course is a very good option as it ensures better understanding of the subject matter and also makes it convenient to study within a straight forward curriculum which most of such courses usually offers. Eligibility Criteria for Admission

The criteria which are set for the said admission includes some common and quite standard format of requirements which are expected to be fulfilled by the applicants in order to be considered for getting selected in the admission procedure. The first condition which is mentioned is that of the minimum percentage cut-off mark which is fixed at 45% in aggregate for General category and 40% for SC/ST/OBC categories in the Higher Secondary (H.S.) Exams. In addition, there is one restrictions on age limit too which suggests that he/she must not have completed the age of 20 years as on 01.06.2011 whereas the same for SC/ST category of candidates is determined as 22 yrs.

Procedure for B.A. LL.B. (Honours) Admission

After meeting all the requirements as mentioned above, the applicants can apply through the Five Year Integrated B.A. LL.B Course admission forms which are available in the College Office along with the prospectus. All eligible candidates will then be asked to appear before an Admission Test which will be held on 27th June 2011 at the college campus. Admission Forms and Prospectus will be made available from 07.06.2011 while the dates mentioned for declaration of Admission Test Results is 2nd July 2011 and the date of admission as 7th July 2011. Classes will resume from 12th July onwards and will be conducted on regular basis. The cost of the admission forms and the prospectus is said to be Rs.400 and it can be collected from the concerned office on payment of the said fee in cash only on any of its working hours.
