Dibrugarh University has issued the admission notification for the Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) and Master of Computer Application (MCA) programmes for the 2011-12 session and has thereby announced the details about the admission procedures and eligibility criteria that are concerned with the above named courses. The MCA postgraduate degree course under Dibrugarh University are conducted in three of its study centers such as Centre for Computer Studies (CCS), North Eastern Regional Institute of Management (NERIM) and J.B.College of Jorhat. The various information regarding the availability of admission forms and prospectus are accordingly announced and some of the important details regarding the educational notice issued in this regard can be summarized as follows.
BCA Admission 2011 under Dibrugarh University Eligibility
The Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) admission under the Dibrugarh University will be conducted by the Centre for Computer Studies (CCS) and they have henceforth published their eligibility criteria or pre-qualification necessary on part of the students in order to apply and seek admission for the upcoming session. In general, the applicants must have scored atleast 45% aggregate marks in their Higher Secondary (H.S. or 10+2) having either Mathematics or Commercial Arithmetic or Statistics as one of the subjects in the qualifying examinations as mentioned above. Students who have recently appeared in the final examinations of the 10+2 exams can also apply for the said BCA admission in Centre for Computer Studies (CCS) in Dibrugarh University.
The admission forms and prospectus are available in the office of CCS (DU) and can be obtained therefrom after paying the fee of Rs.350 only and the completed forms can be submitted in the same office on or before the last date which is set to be 18th day of June, 2011. The selection of candidates will be based purely on merit basis and performance of candidates in the qualifying examinations will be taken into consideration during the selection process.
MCA Admission 2011 Eligibility - CAT 2011 Entrance Test in D.U.
The admission to Master of Computer Application (MCA) for the upcoming session will be held based on an entrance exam called the Combined Admission Test 2011 which will be conducted by the Dibrugarh University. The educational qualification for enrolling to this postgraduate degree course is said to be a Graduation in any discipline having scored atleast 50% aggregate marks either in the major subjects or overall percentage including the core subjects and should also have the mathematics as one of the subject in their course of study in 10+2 level. The BCA degree holders are also eligible for this admission and will be considered based on the same requirements as above.
The application forms along with the prospectus are available in all its three study centers on payment of Rs.350/- only and the same must be submitted after duly filling it up before the closing date i.e. the 10th day of June, 2011.
Online Admission Forms and Application Procedure
One can also obtain the soft copy of the admission or entrance forms for both the BCA and MCA programmes and the same can be obtained from the Official Website of Centre for Computer Studies which is accessible at www.ccsdu.org. In case of those opting for availing forms with this method, they have to pay the requisite fee via demand draft which must be drawn in favor of Registrar, Dibrugarh University and must be payable at State Bank of India, Dibrugarh University Branch (code-2051). It must be submitted along with the completed application forms before last date as mentioned in the given notification.
