Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is an examination being conducted by Department of Personnel and Training, Govt. of India to recruit candidates for various central government job positions in Assam and throughout the country. In a recent announcement being made by the Staff Selection Commission (India), a Combined Graduate Level Examinations 2011 is scheduled to take place from the month of June, or more precisely from 19.06.2011 to 26.06.2011 for the First Tier and 03.09.2011 to 04.09.2011 for the Second Tier SSC Examination. The closing date for making application is 15th April, 2011.

For candidates who are residing in Assam can apply for the Combined Graduate Level Examinations 2011 as per the form and procedure mentioned in the SSC 2011 announcement but the closing date for applying is relaxed to another 7 days for candidates of this region and hence the last date can be dealt as 22nd April, 2011. A fee of Rs.100 is needed to be paid except for those belonging to certain categories such as SC, ST, Physically Handicapped or an Ex-serviceman.

Syllabus & Posts of SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam 2011


The syllabus of the Combined Graduate Level Examinations 2011 comprises of three different tiers where Tier-1 comprises of General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Numerical Aptitude and English Comprehension which would carry around 50 marks on each of the subjects mentioned. The Tier-2 examinations consist of subjects such as Arithmetic Ability, English Language and Comprehension and Statistics and all of these subjects would carry total marks of 200 each. In addition to these two tiers, there will also be a skill test and a personal interview based on the post applied for while making the application.
