Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology (CIPET) in Assam has issued an admission announcement for different courses to be offered in Guwahati Center and has as such made available various details regarding the application forms, procedures, schedules of entrance examinations, prospectus and course commencement dates. The admission will be held in all the 20 centers across the country including the Guwahati and Imphal centers of the Northeastern region. CIPET has been conducting admission to various Diploma and Post Diploma programmes regularly every year which includes a number of short term and long term trainings, PhD programmes and also UG and PG degrees. It is one of the leading national institute having almost around 15 full-fledged study centers that is known to provide quality education and training to enhance and develop skilled human resources and make them fit to work in the plastic industries of the country & help them acquire expertise in that area.


CIPET 2011 (Guwahati Center) Courses for Admission in Assam


There are many courses in CIPET for which admission notice is being published for the session of 2011 in different centers within the country but all of these programmes may not be available in the Guwahati Center. In such a case, one can also avail the courses that are not present in the region from other states where the same is available for study. As per the notification from Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology (Guwahati), there will be admission for four diploma and post graduate diploma courses which can be found listed in the table as given below along with their eligibility criteria.

CIPET 2011 Application Fee, Entrance Exam, Dates & Schedule


The applicants from Northeast region are exempted from the cost involved in availing the admission forms as well as applying for the same. In this case, the applicant has to submit their proof of residence or Bonafide/Transfer Certificates from the last institute studied by him and based on that they will be provided the necessary forms free of cost. All other candidates who are based outside of the Northeast region in India have to pay the fee of Rs.100 for the application forms in case of General Category and Rs.25 for SC/ST Category. The fee must be payed via a demand draft which should be drawn in favour of 'CIPET Corporate A/C No.10565622390' which must be payable at Chennai.

The last date up to which the admission forms of Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology will be issued is fixed as 03.06.2011 and the final date for submission of the same is 10.06.2011. A Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) will be conducted on 10.07.2011 and one has to appear and qualify in the test to be eligible for admission.
